NOWW provides a variety of benefits to writers of all experiences, including readings to test out new work, workshops to refine their skills and learn from experienced, published authors, and most importantly, NOWW is a community of writers who encourage and support each other. NOWW is the hub for writing in Northwestern Ontario. We help promote our members work, connect them to various writing groups, promote regional, national and international writing contests, as well as spotlight a variety of events of interest to our members throughout the region such as the International Festival of Authors and other community programs and events. As a member, you also receive our Literary Magazine, published three times a year as well as free entry into NOWW's annual writing contest.

- Electronic (PDF) versions of the Winter and Autumn editions of the NOWW Magazine.
- NOWW members in good standing may enter the Annual International Writing Contest free of charge.
